The Salmon Arm Pride Project is a collaborative arts initiative run through the Salmon Arm Arts Centre, bringing the whole community together to further LGBTQ2S+ awareness, visibility and acceptance — using the arts as the binding force. Its centrepiece is the annual Allowed and Proud celebration (next up in June 2027), alongside interdisciplinary arts events, exhibitions and community programming through the year at the Arts Centre on Hudson Avenue.
Since launching with a multi-day arts festival in 2020, the Pride Project has grown into one of the Shuswap's signature community celebrations. Follow the Arts Centre for each season's lineup — and if you are part of the project team, this Loop listing is free to claim and update with your events.
