Shuswap Theatre Society has been entertaining the Shuswap since 1977, staging live theatre from its own playhouse at 41 Hudson Avenue NW in downtown Salmon Arm. The all-volunteer company presents a full season of mainstage plays and musicals, ranging from pure fun to thought-provoking drama, and its productions regularly earn honours at the Okanagan Zone Drama Festival. Beyond the mainstage season, the society co-presents the Theatre on the Edge (TotE) fringe festival with the Salmon Arm Arts Centre, runs a Seniors' Theatre program, and holds auditions and workshops for newcomers. The 2026–27 season marks the company's 50th year on stage.
